Interview & Submission Guidelines
ARRANGE TO MEET WITH A WORLD WAR II VETERAN
The veteran you choose to interview may be a family member, friend, or stranger. Be sure to correspond with them in writing to remind them about the date of your interview and what is expected of them. Have them wear comfortable clothing or a jacket they may have that recognizes their military service.
PREPARE ALL NECESSARY EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS
Fill out forms digitally, or by hand, before your interview. Test your equipment. Charge your batteries & clear up space on your memory card!
Follow your check list and make sure both you and your veteran sign a release form. Be kind and respectful. Ask good questions and gather any additional artifacts your veteran is willing to contribute.
Submit your materials using the guidelines listed on the website. Carefully pack and mail any artifacts you have gathered to the Eisenhower Foundation.
THANK YOU NOTE
Drop off or mail a handwritten thank you note for your veteran thanking them for their time and their service!
